The rock music festival -- scheduled for July 11-14 at Edenvale Airport, 90 minutes outside Toronto -- was canceled earlier this week after what first-time promoters MF Live says was months of “tremendous rainy weather” at the makeshift venue.

Those in-the-know say it was dangerous to erect a stage of the required magnitude on unstable ground. Others have toldthat MF Live simply ran out of money after paying the big acts upfront and also did not anticipate how long it would take to get the facility ready. Of course, other speculate that it was poor ticket sales.
The Roxodus website has its own statement about the cancellation, but nothing about refunds. The event also sold camping and VIP passes. By all accounts, those who pre-loaded required cards for the cashless festival have been reimbursed.
