Houston defeated Arlington 23-14 in Week 2 and visits Arlington next Sunday. Even if the teams split the regular season series, Houston hosts the playoff due to a better record within the division. Brandon Silvers completed seven of his first nine passes before a miscommunication led to an interception by Keylon Kennedy.
Vegas forced another turnover to start the second quarter, with a fumble forced by Dulles High School graduate Maurice Smith recovered by C.J. Avery.
