Cristiano Ronaldo speaks out following rumours of a return to Portugal MUFC
Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed reports linking him with a sensational return to Sporting Lisbon.
The 37-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Manchester United amid their failure to qualify for the Champions League.Ronaldo is not happy with the way his first season back at Man United went with the Red Devils winning no trophies and coming sixth in the Premier League Plenty of clubs have been linked with him and a picture on social media appeared to suggest he could go back to the club where he began his career on loan.
The picture appeared to show a car belonging to Ronaldo parked in the car park of the Estadio Jose Alvalade, Sporting’s home ground.Commenting on Sport TV Portugal’s social media post of the car allegedly belonging to him, Ronaldo said: “Fake.” This denial will do nothing to ease the uncertainty surrounding Ronaldo’s future at Man United with the player yet to return to training with his club, although a family issue has been cited as the reason for this.
