Florida’s largest police union announced its endorsement of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) for the 2024 presidency as he vies against former President Donald Trump.
The Florida Police Benevolent Association announced the presidential endorsement on Monday, saying the choice between the two candidates “could not be clearer.”"In major cities and communities across America, many Americans are grappling with increased crime rates that not only jeopardize public safety, but also threaten the quality of life in their communities," said FPBA President John Kazanjian.
co/03oJL2vGHIThe organization’s press release praised DeSantis’s efforts to strengthen law enforcement in Florida and said he would do the same for the nation if elected president. As governor, DeSantis invested $100 million in increasing the salaries of Florida’s police officers and $20 million in cracking down on fentanyl overdoses in the state."Governor DeSantis has made Florida a destination for all Americans to live safely and freely," the release read.
