Roger Waters is joining the legions of musicians paying tribute to late legend John Prine
On Saturday , Waters shared a video of himself performing an acoustic rendition of"Paradise," which appeared on Prince's 1971 self-titled debut album.
“My friend John Prine died. This is his song, ‘Paradise,'” Waters captioned the YouTube video. “Miss you, brother.”on April 7 from complications of COVID-19. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter was 73. Rogers is one of many musicians remembering Prine through song. Over the past week, numerous others -- including Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Erich Church, Jeff Tweedy -- have also paid tribute to the fallen musician.
In the week leading up to Prine's death, after hearing about his hospitalization from coronavirus, Waters shared a video wishing the artist a healthy recovery.Watch Waters' acoustic cover of"Paradise" below.
