No more 'major themed content updates' will be coming to Red Dead Online.
Red Dead Online will not receive any more"major themed content updates" as Rockstar is now shifting its focus towards Grand Theft Auto 6., Rockstar has announced that it has been shifting development resources over to the next Grand Theft Auto title, and as a result, is changing how it supports Red Dead Online.
Red Dead Online will continue to receive monthly and seasonal special events that highlight different activities already added to the game, and Rockstar does have plans for smaller updates that will"build upon existing modes and add new Telegram Missions," but larger updates that include things like new roles and story content are now a thing of the past.
As for GTA Online, Rockstar is bringing a bunch of new content to its golden goose. Rockstar says it's"working to improve the overall GTA Online experience with new gameplay updates, adding top community-requested experience improvements and upgrades to make it easier for players to enjoy everything GTA Online has to offer."
In a few weeks, GTA Online will receive an update that will expand the Executive, Biker, Gunrunner, and Nightclub Owner Criminal Careers and add a new set of Contact Missions that will allow you to play as an IAA field operative to investigate a criminal conspiracy.
