Rock Tech Lithium Inc. has shortlisted four sites in Ontario to build a lithium processing plant, as the upstart critical mineral supplier nears construction on an initial battery materials hub in Germany.
“Building on what we have already started with the first studies in 2019, it is the right time to start implementation,” he said in a release. Despite pursuing its initial lithium converter in Europe, Rock Tech has been based in Canada from the outset. The company was previously headquartered in Vancouver, but relocated its head office to Toronto Oct. 1 as it accelerated planning on the Ontario converter.The company expects to have all necessary permits to start work on its Georgia Lake development next year.
