Robert Podlaski , a veteran who served in the Navy, is asking for the community to help him raise funds to pay for his nine-year-old service dog Levi 's ACL surgery, Monday, May 27, 2024.
Levi was initially meant to be a therapy dog for Podlaski's father who had brain cancer and was left paralyzed on his right side following an operation to remove his tumor. Podlaski also says he's on a fixed disability income and lives paycheck to paycheck, meaning he can't afford Levi's estimated $7000 Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy surgery. The deposit due at the time of surgery is just over $5200.
