The Rochester Police Department is preparing for an expected gridlock on April 8 as a large influx of visitors travel to the area for the total solar eclipse.

Rochester Police Captain Greg Bello says the department has plans in place to manage the roads, but with all of the events happening around the city, people should be prepared to sit in traffic. "We are going to use the blue light camera system to monitor traffic in the area and adjust traffic lights as need be," Bello explained. " as much as we can to try and get traffic flowing as smoothly as we can throughout the city."
