Robert F. Kennedy Jr. does not meet the qualifications for the first presidential debate: Biden and Trump will be the only two candidates on stage for the June 27 showdown.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the third-party candidate running for president, does not qualify for next week’s presidential debate hosted by CNN, the network said Thursday.According to CNN, candidates can only participate in the debate if they have secured a place on the ballot in states totaling at least 270 votes in the Electoral College, the minimum needed to win the presidency.

The 90-minute debate will be hosted by CNN's Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. It will be the first in-person face off between Biden and Trump since they stood alongside one another on debate stages during the 2020 cycle. There won't be a studio audience. CNN said there will be two commercial breaks during the debate, and candidates will not be allowed to consult with other members of their campaign during that time.
