Former NFL star Rob Gronkowski compares his experiences visiting the White House during the Obama and Trump administrations, praising Trump's more relaxed approach and access to areas like the Oval Office.

Rob Gronkowski , the legendary tight end who recently retired from the NFL , has shared his contrasting experiences visiting the White House during both the Obama and Trump administrations. Gronkowski, who visited the White House with the New England Patriots during Obama's presidency in 2015 and with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers under Trump's presidency in 2017, told HuffPost on Wednesday: 'I would say Trump did it better because there were no rules and regulations.

He allowed us to go anywhere in the White House, which was really cool so we got to really see basically everything.' Gronkowski said Obama 'did a great job' in welcoming him, but Trump's hospitality surpassed it. 'I didn't really know that there was so much more to see until the Trump era when he let us into the Oval Office,' he said. The five-time Pro Bowler also revealed that he got to touch the famous red button on Trump's desk, 'which, I don't know, is the panic button or whatever it was.' Gronkowski, now a Fox Sports NFL analyst, was making media appearances on behalf of Bounty and their partnership with quarterback legend Drew Brees. He mentioned keeping a pallet of Bounty paper towels at home as parting gifts for guests. While he didn't discuss any potential swag from his White House visits, he certainly earned a viral moment in 2017. During a visit with Obama in 2015, Gronkowski famously pretended to take his shirt off for the president. 'He asked me what would happen if he took it off. I said Secret Service probably wouldn't like it. He said, 'What could they do to me?' Gronkowski recalled. This humorous interaction solidified Gronkowski's reputation as a larger-than-life personality, even within the prestigious setting of the White House
