More than 2,000 will cyclists hit the road for Ryder Hesjedal’s Tour de Victoria on Saturday.
Be prepared for minor traffic delays across the region today as 2,450 cyclists from across Canada and the U.S. join locals for Ryder Hesjedal’s Tour de Victoria, the city’s largest one-day cycling event.
The route affects some roads at different times. Police, certified traffic-control attendants and course marshals will monitor traffic flow along the route.Area around the start/finish of the event:• Belleville Street from Hotel Grand Pacific to Menzies Street and up to Quebec Street — closed 4 a.m to 5:30 p.m.• Pendray Street between Belleville and Quebec streets — closed 10 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
