City crews installing new paving panels on Shane Creek Bridge; transit route detours in effect
Motorists who use University Way to access the UNBC campus and connect to Highway 16 West from 15th Avenue will have to find an alternate route for the next three weeks.
Reconstruction of paving panels on the Shane Creek Bridge began Tuesday and the road is expected to be closed until Sept 15. Tyner Boulevard is now the only road that provides access to the university campus on Cranbrook Hill.Six bus stops along 15th Avenue between Foothills Boulevard and Ospika Boulevard are now temporarily closed.Got to the BC Transit website for more details on the detours and bus schedules.
