The new battery is only available on dual-motor configurations and offers 410 miles of range on R1T and 400 on the R1S
Rivian's long-promised Max pack battery is finally available for the R1T and R1S. The updated energy source offers up to 410 miles of range. To achieve optimal range both the R1T and R1S have some configuration limitations though. The Max pack is something Rivian has talked about for quite some time. Offering 400 or more miles of all-electric range is a big deal but the pack saw numerous delays until now.

On top of all of that, the only way to get the Max pack is to select the Dual-Motor or Performance Dual-Motor version of the R1T or R1S. It's not available on the Quad-Motor AWD variants.
