In an interview on “Today,” Rita Wilson opened up about her coronavirus diagnosis and how surviving breast cancer prepared her for the possibility of COVID-19.

Despite having fully recovered now, a little over a month later, Wilson and Hanks are continuing to practice. “We want to set a good example and also just to calm any fears anybody would have if they were to ever come in contact with us,” she said. But they remain in good spirits, and are doing their best to uplift their friends, family, and fans from afar.
“I thank God every day, literally for my health, and also our human spirit is also amazing — as well as our bodies and just very thankful,” Wilson explained. “And also thankful for the amazing healthcare workers and the doctors that are getting us through all of this.”
