She shops at Cabot Square Dominion on Stavanger Drive in St. John’s. On Sept. 7, 2021, she paid $3.59 for a two-litre carton of 1 per cent milk. By Sept. 6, 2022, the price for the same carton at the same store was $4.57.

“Demand at that helpline is shooting up incredibly fast. We’re projecting that it’ll double between the spring and the fall this year,” said Smee.Do you want to help single parents?
