Freedom Convoy brings Paris to a halt as riot police use tear gas
Riot police tear gassed terrified diners at restaurants as protesters clashed during violent demonstrations. Despite presence of some 7000 officers, Paris's most famous roundabout was gridlocked by early afternoon. Tear gas and baton charges were meanwhile being used to try and clear the area as arrests were made.
