Pitcher Hunter Nichols provided 10 strikeouts in a complete-game performance, Justin Vossos supplied a go-ahead triple in the seventh, and the Panthers won 2-1 on Friday to sweep Strake in their Class 6A, Region III series at Houston’s Schroeder Park. Kellen Gradisar pitched a shutout in Game 1. Nichols picked up where he left off, making the one-run lead hold most of the night.
