The prime minister is the boss. And when he does push, he pushes forward
Alas the top of the head is now a barber’s despair, hairless as a cue ball with none of its symmetry. It’s the thick, horseshoe-shaped remnant that forms a U on the sides and halts at the top that has been showing an almost Amazonian forest fertility and growth that has been worrying. I want to get it trimmed before Greenpeace catches wind of it and declares such a marvel off-limits to cutting.
They each had something to offer each other. WE’s capacity to round up huge audiences of schoolchildren, and take them to a stadium for a whole day for their brand of do-goodism and progressive sermonizing, supplied Trudeau with audiences of just the kind who matched his own approach to politics. There was an immense spotlight on his undeniable charisma, writing the message that a “new politics” was in the making, which doubtless reached the parents of those children in the stadiums.
WE Day co-founders Craig and Marc Kielburger introduce Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, as they appear at WE Day celebrations in Ottawa on Nov. 10, 2015.On the other side, they were so compatible, that they delivered much the same nostrums: you are the future, you can make a difference. The essence of what the prime minister said on Thursday was that he did see a problem, and having seen it, “pushed back” and asked for a second review of the proposal. However, when the time came to vote, notwithstanding the “pushing back,” he gave his vote to the project; as did Finance Minister Bill Morneau. As did Seamus O’Regan.I have a very short observation on this element of the story.
