Private equity, public relations: Finance comedy Dry Powder launches new Toronto theatre company, Evermore GlobeArts
, a dark comedy by U.S. playwright Sarah Burgess that is the inaugural production of a new, commercially-minded Toronto theatre company called Evermore, explores what role morality plays, if any, in making money in modern-day finance.

She thinks there’s a slightly higher, slightly faster return on investment to be made off the luggage company by offshoring production, laying off most U.S. employees and flipping it quickly.
U.S. politicians from across the spectrum, from Donald Trump to Bernie Sanders, profess to hate offshoring – and so it’s no surpriser has been performed across the United States since its starry premiere at New York’s Public Theatre with Claire Danes and John Krasinski in the cast in 2016.
