I didn’t choose So This is #Love?, Horseface and Before Breakfast because of their themes but because I could manage to see all three in a single day. The universe was definitely trying to show me something.
Her recollections of meeting a fitness fanatic, a new-ager and a bird watcher are hilarious but when she hooks up with a controlling misogynist, her memories become too real and painful. Her accompanying song is I Fall in Love Too Easily which says it all. She lightens things up again when she listens to Lisa’s advice about pampering herself with sexy lingerie or reading self-help books.
Dallas has an incredible ability to wring laughter from many of these incidents but she is just as adept at creating shudders. Horseface is a certified emotional roller-coaster ride and one you’ll be grateful you took. She is a skilled performer who can explode with rage over a recalled indiscretion and then just as quickly be in control of her emotions and speech, almost whispering a secret.Article content
