One of them is Carol Douglas of the Strathmore, Alberta area. She currently volunteers at what has become a very active track, Dinosaur Downs Speedway in Drumheller, and in 2019 she began organizing a reunion to celebrate Calgary’s defunct Race City Motorsport Park.
Spectators and racers alike were welcomed to Calgary’s Race City Speedway in 1993 by this sign. The track later became known as Race City Motorsport Park, but permanently shut the gates in 2011.
