Clothing retailer Roots Corp. reported a third-quarter profit of $2.4 million, up from a profit of $519,000 in the same quarter last year.
The company says the result amounted to six cents per diluted share for the quarter ended Nov. 2, compared with a penny per diluted share a year earlier.The increase came as direct-to-consumer sales rose to $54.2 million compared with $52.2 million in the same quarter last year, while comparable sales grew 5.8 per cent.Partner and other sales amounted to $12.7 million, up from $11.3 million.The Shopping Trends team is independent of the journalists at CTV News.
