The owners shared a lengthy statement explaining their decision
Vietnamese restaurant Vietnom opened on Berry Street back in January 2020, just two months before the covid pandemic forced the hospitality industry to shut down. The venue started as a stall in the Baltic Market, which will remain open when the permanent space closes.
“But people will remember us for playing a role in their lives, how we make them feel and the energy we present. Being a business owner in this industry doesn’t allow us to spend the time we want with our loved ones, switch off and just actually relax without always being on call or awaiting for something bloody dramatic to happen.”
Marymaryflorals added: “absolutely gutted but fully support your decision - gotta look after no.1. Love to you all”. Minnaliverpool said: “Lovely food, staff and venue. Good luck for the future you smashed it!”
