Tristan Keats and his three-year-old son are staying in Keats' mother's rental apartment. She took them in because they had nowhere else to go, but they can't stay for long. A single father from St. John's who's faced with the impossible choice of losing his son or becoming homeless says he heard promising news from housing officials not long after CBC News reported on his situation.Tristan Keats and his three-year-old son are staying in Keats's mother's rental apartment. She took them in because they had nowhere else to go, but they can't stay for long.

"It's actually a dream because I don't have to worry anymore once it all comes true. I don't have to worry about where my son is going to sleep." Keats has been living temporarily in his mother's rental with his son, Jacoby, but was asked to leave, as it's a single-occupancy unit. He said he also received messages from people across the country on social media.
