Titans and RB Derrick Henry is signing a four-year, $50 million contract that includes $25.5 million guaranteed, source tells ESPN.— Adam Schefter Henry and the Titans had until 4 p.m. ET to come to an agreement on a new long-term contract after the team placed a non-exclusive franchise tag on the 26-year-old back in March.
Henry is coming off his best season as a pro, leading the league in carries , rushing yards , rushing yards per game and rushing touchdowns in 2019. The Yulee, Fla., native also played a vital role in his team’s surprise run to the AFC Championship this past January as the underdog Titans upset the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens before falling to the eventual champion Kansas City Chiefs in the conference title showdown.
Selected with the 45th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Henry will undoubtedly be the focal point of the Tennessee offence again in 2020 along with quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who agreed to a four-year, $118-million extension in March.
