The nyjets have reportedly agreed to trade star safety Jamal Adams to the Seahawks.
One of the best defensive backs in the NFL, Adams has long been rumoured to be dissatisfied with his situation in the Big Apple and trade rumours have surrounded the 24-year-old since his sophomore season., currently serving as U.S. President Donald Trump’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, after allegations Johnson made racist and sexist comments to staff.
The deal means the rebuilding Jets get a haul of draft picks capable of helping to alter the struggling franchise’s fortunes, while the Seahawks add an All-Pro safety to a team looking to win now. Adams will solidify a Seattle secondary still trying to reassert itself after years of dominance under the Legion of Boom.
Drafted by the Jets with the sixth-overall pick in 2017, Adams is a two-time Pro Bowler and was selected as a First-Team All-Pro for the first time in his career this past season.
