After the Blue Jays were given the go-ahead last week to travel north to Canada, some players reportedly stayed behind in Florida after COVID-19 testing yielded a positive result.

Those players still in Florida will remain there until cleared to travel and join the rest of the team in Toronto.

The Blue Jays gathered last week at the club’s facilities in Dunedin, Fla., which is also where players underwent more extensive testing in order to clear MLB’s intake protocol and to satisfy Canada’s public health requirements in order to allow them to travel to and play on home turf in Toronto.
