He spent the last two seasons with the Spurs and this season in San Antonio has been averaging only 4.
The 38-year-old was owed approximately $16 million this season and was guaranteed $6.7 million next season with the Spurs. Gasol would’ve had until 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday to sign with a new club after getting bought out in order to be considered eligible for the post-season. The Toronto Raptors acquired his brother, Marc, in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies earlier this season.
