Domi spent the 2023-24 season on a one-year deal with the Leafs.

Domi is coming off his first year with his father’s former team. He signed a one-year contract with the Maple Leafs last July, with a $3 million AAV. While he was brought into the team to provide toughness to help the team make a deep run in the playoffs, Domi ended up being a viable scoring threat, especially when on the same line withIn 80 regular-season games, the 29-year-old scored nine goals and 38 assists, marking the fifth time in his nine-year career that Domi has hit the 45-point mark.

The 47 points were down from the 56 points he scored during the 2022-23 season with the Chicago Blackhawks and Dallas Stars. Domi’s new contract marks the first time in four years that he has signed a multi-year contract. He signed a two-year deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets with a cap hit of $5.3 million in October 2020.

In 661 games, Domi has scored 130 goals and 287 assists, including 26 points in 50 playoff appearances. He was taken by the Phoenix Coyotes 12th overall in the 2013 NHL Draft. After three years in Arizona, he was traded to the Montreal Canadiens in June 2018. He ended up playing two seasons in Montreal before heading to Columbus and was a playoff rental by the Carolina Hurricanes during the 2021-22 season.
