Knicks reportedly parting ways with president Steve Mills and targeting Raptors' Masai Ujiri.

wrote that Nolan was “enamoured of” Ujiri and that the Raptors president “would be intrigued by the challenge of fixing the Knicks.” The report also noted several people had advised Ujiri against leaving the Raptors for the Knicks.

Mills, 60, has been with the Knicks organization since September 2013 when he was hired as executive vice president and general manager. Mills was announced as president of the Knicks in July 2017, replacing Phil Jackson, and Scott Perry was named GM of the team – a role Perry is expected to keep for the “foreseeable future,” as per Wojnarowski.

It is expected that GM Scott Perry will continue in his role as Knicks GM for forseeable future, league sources tell ESPN.The dismissal of the Mills comes two days before the NBA’s trade deadline and with the Knicks sporting a dismal 15-36 record, good for 13th in the East and the league’s fourth-worst win percentage.

Over the last year, Mills has overseen the trade of star forward Kristaps Porzingis and a disappointing off-season after the Knicks struck out on a star-studded free agency class.
