Outfielder Kevin Pillar was reportedly dealt from the RedSox to the Rockies ahead of Monday’s MLB trade deadline.

The Rockies are acquiring Kevin Pillar and cash from the Red Sox in exchange for a PTBNL and 2019-20 international slot money, per source. In return, the Red Sox received a player to be named later and 2019-20 international slot money.

For Pillar, the move sends him to his fourth team in the past two seasons, as the Rockies bring him in for added outfield depth. The former Blue Jay, who will be a free agent at the season’s end, has posted a .274/.325/.470 slash line in 30 games this season. So far, Pillar’s 109 OPS+ in 2020 is the best mark of his career.
