The deal to make Travis Green the next head coach of the Ottawa Senators has been completed, according to Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia.
Garrioch says an official announcement from the team is expected on Tuesday with an introductory news conference happening on Wednesday. Garrioch adds that general manager Steve Staios and owner Michael Andlauer will be in the nation's capital for the introduction.this season after the team parted ways with Lindy Ruff, going 8-12-1 in the role. He joined the Devils as an associate coach last summer.Ottawa fired D.J.
Smith led the team for four-plus seasons, and they never finished better than sixth in their division in any of those campaigns.
