"It's important to remember the people who passed before us. It is important in our culture," said Stephen Francis, the artist behind the initiative.
They've also worked with other crews to have heavy stone sculptures and headstones moved. One day a group of two crews painted the outside bottom of the church in 45 minutes. When he went to visit his friend's grave, Francis saw the majority of the graves at the church weren't marked with anything — including his friends.
During that visit, Francis made 10 wooden crosses and donated them to the church, one of which was used to mark his friend's grave.
