Constable Jeff Tait honoured with 2022 Ontario Medal for Police Bravery after his quick action helped save life of fellow officer Ryan Vendramin, who was shot in line of duty

Tait was working the night shift on Sept. 28, 2021 with Const. Ryan Vendramin when the call came in at about 3:30 a.m. Upon arriving at the address, the officers saw a a man in a parking lot wearing clothing that matched the description of the suspect. They attempted to communicate with the man as a second cruiser arrived.

"It was thanks to Const. Jeffrey Tait’s bravery and swift actions that his partner’s life was saved," said the release.
