DAVID MUNDEE Parker Peacock, a senior linebacker this past fall at Rehobeth, said he has always loved to hit opposing players on the football field.
The soon-to-be Rehobeth graduate will take his physical defensive mentality to the college level after signing Thursday morning with Mississippi College, a Division-II program in Clinton, Miss. People are also reading… “The coaches were so friendly, and I really felt at home,” Peacock said. “Even the crowd was getting into the game. Everybody was so welcoming.”
Peacock averaged 11.6 tackles a game this past fall, helping Rehobeth earn a 6-4 record. Of his 126 tackles, 75 were solos and six were for losses with one quarterback sack. As a junior, he averaged 10.1 tackles per game with 20 tackles for loss and three quarterback sacks. He also forced three fumbles and recovered two fumbles during his junior season.
In addition, Peacock was a force this past year on Rehobeth’s special teams, blocking two punts and two field goal attempts. He recovered one of the block punts in the end zone for a touchdown against Shelby County.
