Northumberland County has launched a survey as it prepares to launch a pilot GO shuttle bus service.

The county, Metrolinx and Hop In Technologies, are set to launch the 12-month pilot, called Commuter Connect, this September. It will operate from Trent Hills to Brighton to Port Hope and stops in between, linking passengers to the Oshawa GO station. Data will be analyzed to help to further define the extent of local need, interest and opportunity for increased transit options between Northumberland County and Oshawa.

Warden Bob Crate says, “We are launching Commuter Connect to increase flexibility and choice for Northumberland residents in their local commute. We are asking residents to share where and when they need this service so we can build the most effective network.
