The just-dropped Reformation x New York City Ballet collection features ballet-class-worthy sweaters, tutu-esque midiskirts, and, yes, ballet flats.
What do you get when you mix off-duty style with real-life ballerina aesthetic? All the sheer little nothings and tutu-like confections but with an ultra-wearable twist. Or, in other words, the Reformation x New York City Ballet collaboration, which is officially available today. The 19-style capsule collection touches on Reformation’s signature, vintage-inspired silhouettes with a heavy dose of ballet influence to create the ultimate tribute to ballet culture.
” For the occasion, Reformation truly leaned into the celebration of all the festivities. “New York City Ballet’s 75th season opened with Jewels, an important ballet created by the Company’s Founding Choreographer George Balanchine,” added Borenstein. “Our design team was inspired by this particular work during a site visit to the Koch Theater and brought it into the collection through shades of ruby and emerald as well as the ballet toile print created especially for New York City Ballet.
