Ottawa Public Health's weekly respiratory virus snapshot shows levels of COVID-19, influenza and RSV are 'very high', with COVID and influenza levels rising over the past week.
Ottawa's top doctor is urging residents to "refocus" their efforts on limiting the spread of COVID-19 and respiratory viruses in Ottawa this winter, as hospitals see a surge in patients and virus levels are high to start the new year.
Dr. Etches told CTV Morning Live on Friday morning that after people gathered for the holidays, it's time to get back to using the techniques to prevent the spread of viruses and protect yourself, loved ones and the healthcare system. Etches says while people are prioritizing social connections, they need to remember that the risk of COVID is still circulating in the community.
