Free child car seat recycling clinic pop-up to be hosted in Burnaby for one day

In British Columbia, an estimated 85,000 to 100,000 child car seats end up in the landfill each year, according to stats provided by BCAA.

To address this issue, BCAA is partnering with Queensborough Landing Return-It to host a free one-day child car seat recycling clinic pop-up this weekend, happening right here in Burnaby. On Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., drop by the pop-up BCAA car seat recycling clinic and recycle your car seats for free.

The free pop-up clinic eliminates the usual $15 car seat recycling fee. Plus, $5 will be donated to a local non-profit to help support programs for children and families for every car seat recycled. The aim of the pop-up is to encourage car seat recycling, and this free pop-up clinic will help families get rid of their expired or used car seats in a convenient and environmentally sustainable way.
