A chance for isolated thunderstorms is possible late Sunday into Monday morning.
More light showers are forecast for the Bay Area on Monday morning as monsoonal moisture spreads over the region, but NWS meteorologist Sean Miller said rainfall totals will likely be less than a tenth of an inch. “Anyone is fair game,” he said.
And while there’s a 10% chance for thunderstorms across the Bay Area Sunday evening into early Monday morning, Miller described the timing as “fairly uncertain.” “If we did see one it would probably be fairly isolated,” he said. “A lot of things have to come together just right. It’s a very small chance at the moment, but we’re mentioning it because with these dry conditions, there’s always the potential for new fire starts, which we definitely don’t want.”
