The Dallas Police Department did not provide statistics about violent crime in Uptown despite repeated requests fromStewart said Uptown Dallas Inc. is “all in and bringing in as many sources as we can to bear to Uptown” in terms of safety. “As a business owner, just saying, ‘Here government, we trust you!’ — that’s not usually where I come from,” Cramer said. “But I don’t know any other way to fix it. The situation has gotten pretty bad, crime-wise, and it’s concerning.”
