Then, it was time to come home. Conway returned to Saskatoon and started working with Quint Development Corporation, where she met Kristen Thomas, who was managing the organization’s employment program; Conway started as the transitional home program manager. “I was looking at some of the work I had done in my career, particularly with young people and young women as I was moving and doing some different work at Quint. It felt like this was a fit for me in this moment of time. I really believed in the philosophy of the sexual assault centre and was interested in the work they were doing,” she recalls.
“She’s good at balancing, being supporting but also challenging staff to think critically; that’s what she excels at, is being a critical thinker.”
