Randy Reed, the former chief science officer at Lehua Brands, said the drink pays homage to another famously strong California beverage: a cocktail called the zombie, which was“The reason they call it a zombie is because you can drink one, some people can drink two, but no one can drink three because it’s super strong. Lehua Brands' new Tiki Blast Zombie Punch contains only 2 ounces of liquid but is loaded with 100 milligrams of THC, the maximum legally allowed in a cannabis edible.The ginger beer’s spiciness mixed pleasantly with the punch’s papaya and grapefruit flavors. There was an herbal quality to the drink as well, but it was less like weed and more like the hop-forward taste of an IPA.
