Police on Haida Gwaii say a 'boatload' of drugs and guns are now off local streets following a recent bust that resulted in two arrests.

On Friday, Jan. 13, Masset RCMP executed a search warrant on a liveaboard vessel moored at the local fisherman’s wharf, where they discovered drugs, guns and cash. Through evidence obtained, police searched the vessel and seized 20 grams of suspected cocaine, as well as cannabis, prepackaged cannabis gummies and other cannabis concentrates, states the release.
