The Major Crimes Unit is investigating after a man reported he was shot in the leg in a park in Comox on July 30.
The 41-year-old man called 911 around 12:30 a.m. requesting police and medical assistance in a park on the 2000-block of Wallace Road.Officers arrived and located and seized a double barrel shotgun near the man.Sign up for our newsletter to get breaking news and daily digests sent to your email.“There is no evidence to suggest any ongoing risk to the public.
Investigators have interviewed witnesses and all parties involved in this incident are known to police,” said Const. Monika Terragni, Media Relations Officer, Comox Valley RCMP.Anyone with information, who has not yet spoken with police, is asked to call the Comox Valley RCMP at 338-1321 and refer to file 2022-11587.
