Starting Jan. 1, 2025, Highway 407 ETR will be rolling out a new rate schedule that includes additional toll zones, increased fees, as well as new ve…

Instead of the four zones that currently span the highway's 108 kilometres, there will be 12 zones in total starting in 2025, which will allow the 407 ETR to set different toll rates for each section to better manage traffic volumes and flow.

The highway operator also announced that there will be new vehicle classifications, with rates that aim to better reflect each vehicle's impact, including motorcycles and medium-sized vehicles. With all the increases, you can expect a monthly bill increase of about $8 if you're a personal transponder customer. In January 2025, an annual transponder lease will cost $29.50 plus tax, and additional transponders can be leased on the same account at a discounted price of $11.95 plus tax per transponder.5 places in Toronto that changed beyond recognition in 2024Huge number of Ontario residents ditched the province to move to Alberta in 20245 Ontario megaprojects scheduled for completion in 2025
