A community response unit has been working to identify suspects with help from the youth unit, an arson co-ordinator, the school district and the city. “We are encouraging residents, the Elgin Secondary School community and park users to be aware of these acts of vandalism and arson,” said Cpl. Vanessa Munn in a release. She noted the damages are costly and arson poses a risk of harm to people as well as property.
