Toronto Raptors forward Precious Achiuwa’s chances of starting the year healthy took a turn for the worse on Friday when the team announced he would be shut down for the remainder of camp with a left groin strain.
Achiuwa was injured during a camp workout this week and did not participate in the team’s open practice on Friday. He also will not play Sunday in the team’s pre-season game in Vancouver against Sacramento. The team announced he will undergo further evaluation when the team returns to Toronto on Monday and his condition updated as appropriate.
