From couldn’t hit a shot to couldn’t miss one. It was a wild night for the Raptors who rallied from a 21\u002Dpoint fourth\u002Dquarter deficit.
After scoring a measly 12 points in a first quarter that put the ‘off’ in offensive, the Raptors put together a 38-point fourth to somehow extend this game.
It was a Gary Trent Jr. three-ball, though, that eventually sent it into overtime with just .8 seconds remaining in regulation. “I still say that we’ve got to continue to play to our identity which is playing pretty good solid defense and giving ourselves a chance,” Nurse said. Milwaukee, though, still had both Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez. Neither enjoyed their best offensive game Wednesday night in Toronto, but both were monsters on the boards and their mere presence in the lane certainly had something to do with the fact that Toronto’s shooters were life and death to make a shot most of the night.Credit Toronto’s defence for keeping this one close. As a team, the Raptors shot just over 33% for the game.
The Raptors scored just 12 points in the first quarter and just 26 more in the second. For the half the team shooting percentage was a woeful 26%.
